Awards in design are not an act of self-congratulation, but rather serve as a barometer of where design and creative practice currently stand. They indicate whether a project resonates with the spirit of the times, whether a visual language holds its ground – or whether new directions must be explored.

On a national level, the Creativ Club Austria sets the benchmark, while within the DACH region the Art Directors Club Germany assumes this role. On the international stage, institutions such as D&AD in design and art direction, or the Cannes Lions in advertising, represent the arenas where creative excellence is measured and celebrated.

For the design press, awards act as a catalyst for visibility; for teams, they provide motivation and recognition. Within this dynamic, awards are not merely accolades but impulses that strengthen the pursuit of continuous progress and emphasize the cultural and economic significance of branding, corporate design, and art direction.

Auszeichnungen im Design sind keine Selbstbeweihräucherung, sondern fungieren als Gradmesser dafür, wo sich Gestaltung und kreative Haltung aktuell bewegen.

Im nationalen Kontext gilt der Creativ Club Austria als maßgebliche Instanz, im DACH-Raum übernimmt der Art Directors Club Deutschland diese Rolle.
